Construction and Design
The Changes of States of Gases ThermoFlux – 7019 is constructed as a single integrated experimental unit housing two distinct transparent measuring vessels, each dedicated to a specific thermodynamic gas law. Vessel 1, positioned on the left, is connected to a built-in 60 W pump that circulates hydraulic oil to vary the enclosed air volume between 0 and approximately 3 L. A 3/2-way valve controls switching between compression and expansion; the pump is also operable as a vacuum pump to extend the range of Changes of States of Gases investigations into sub-atmospheric conditions. Pressure is monitored via a 0–4 bar gauge instrument and temperature over a –100°C to 400°C electronic sensor range. Vessel 2, positioned on the right, encloses a fixed air volume heated by a controlled electric heater; the resulting pressure rise is measured electronically across the same 0–4 bar gauge and –100°C to 400°C temperature ranges. Both vessels are of transparent construction, enabling direct visual observation of state changes in real time.
