The Commercial Refrigeration Training Unit PolarX - 604 features an air-cooled condensing unit with a hermetic compressor rated for high back pressure and high starting torque. This Commercial Refrigeration Training Unit includes a forced air evaporator with 5 FPI aluminium fins, a detachable insulated hood (100-watt heat load) for thermal performance testing, and an internally equalized thermostatic expansion valve. The unit includes suction and discharge service valves, gauge manifold connections, and a built-in motor protector. The forced air, blow through evaporator features a powder coated galvanized sheet steel casing with a removable front panel, and its coil is constructed from internally grooved copper tube fitted with aluminium fins at 5 FPI. A detachable insulated hood applies a 100-watt heat load, monitored by a K type thermocouple. The system includes an internally equalized thermostatic expansion valve, liquid line filter drier, and liquid-vapour heat exchanger. High and low pressure switches, along with a high pressure gauge and low pressure compound gauge, provide pressure monitoring. The base is stainless steel, mounted on a steel frame.

Software
PolarX - 604 (optional). A DAQ software package, specially designed in National Instruments LABVIEW environment, measures and calculates the results of the apparatus. The software is optional. When the software is used, a set of electronic sensors is included. The software can be run on any Windows environment.
