Product Overview

The Domestic Refrigeration Training Unit PolarX - 564 enables basic refrigeration investigations using a closed circuit with compressor, condenser, capillary tube expansion device, and evaporator. This Domestic Refrigeration Training Unit features an open compressor (approx. 150W), condenser (approx. 750W capacity), and evaporator (250W capacity) with a heater-simulated cooling load in the chamber. Pressure switches protect the compressor, monitored by 5 Type-k temperature sensors and pressure gauges rated -1~25bar (delivery) and -1~16bar (suction). Optional LABVIEW-based DAQ software supports p-h diagram analysis.

Construction and Design
The Domestic Refrigeration Training Unit PolarX - 564 uses a closed refrigeration circuit with a compressor, condenser, capillary tube as expansion device, and evaporator in the refrigeration chamber. Cooling load in the chamber is simulated via a heater. Both condenser and evaporator are fitted with a fan. A pressure switch protects the compressor on the delivery and intake sides. Analog displays show pressure, while digital displays show temperature and power. The system operates on R134a refrigerant, which is CFC-free.

Software
PolarX - 564 (optional). A DAQ software package, specially designed in National Instruments LABVIEW environment, measures and calculates the results of the apparatus. The software is optional. When the software is used, a set of electronic sensors is included. The software can be run on any Windows environment.
