Construction and Design
The Double Drum Dryer NutriForge - 02 is a twin-cylinder nip-fed drying machine constructed of cylinder combination endplates and trunnions. Two drums, each 300mm in diameter and 200mm in length, are made of cast iron and engineering hard chrome coated for maximum heat transfer. The rolls are capable of handling steam at up to 5.5 bar and have been precisely machined around the circle and internally bored to ensure even heat transfer. The machine's base plate is attached with circular endplates that house grease-lubricated bearings that support the rolls. On each drum, a knife scrapes out the dry product. The unit's structure is made of rust-free material, and the drum is made of food grade steel. An electrical inverter on the control panel controls the shaft-mounted primary drive speed. The system includes a steam trap and thermally insulated piping.
Required Accessories
- Mini Steam Boiler: the unit is designed to run with steam up to 6 bar of pressure and about 50kg/h steam rate, requiring a boiler to operate. If a boiler is already installed at the customer site, only tubing is needed to connect the system with this unit.
- Vapor Extraction System: fitted above the dryer, draws vapors produced during drying away through the fan and duct assembly.
- Feed System: stainless-steel feed tank and variable-speed pump deliver the material to be dried through the solid pipeline to the dryer feed.
