The Indoor Solar Energy Training System RVX-001 is a modular solar power experimental platform that demonstrates power transformation from solar PV modules to battery and from battery to loads. The system supports eleven structured experiments covering solar module behaviour under illuminance, temperature, and shading conditions; parameter testing; charge controller and inverter functions; inclination angle effects; and efficiency calculation. As a complete solar energy trainer, the RVX-001 integrates a moveable solar module frame, artificial light source with intensity control, temperature sensor, PWM charge controller, off-grid power inverter, and power meter — all on a single frame. DAQ software designed in National Instruments LabVIEW is included and runs on any Windows system.

Key Features
Experiments
Construction and Design
The Indoor Solar Energy Training System RVX-001 is built around a modular architecture in which each functional block is housed as a discrete, interchangeable module mounted on a common frame. The solar power experimental platform features a moveable solar module frame accommodating the Dual Solar Panel Module, allowing inclination angle adjustment relative to the artificial light source. The Artificial Light Source Module and Artificial Light Control Module provide controllable illuminance for repeatable indoor testing. A temperature sensor is integrated for thermal characterization. The PWM Solar Charge Controller, Off-Grid Power Inverter, and Measuring Module complete the power chain. All modules are interconnected via the included cable set. The battery (12V standard, 24V on demand) is not included and must be sourced by the end user.
Software
DAQ software specially designed in the National Instruments LabVIEW environment to measure and calculate experimental results. A set of electronic sensors is included for use with the software. Compatible with any Windows operating system.
Scope of Delivery
Required for Operation
Optional Accessories
Q1. Is the battery included with the Indoor Solar Energy Training System RVX-001?
No. The battery (12V standard, 24V on demand) is not included due to export policy and must be arranged by the end user.
Q2. What software is provided, and what are the system requirements?
The system includes DAQ software designed in the National Instruments LabVIEW environment. It can be run on any Windows operating system and includes a set of electronic sensors.
Q3. Can the RVX-001 be used for grid-tied solar experiments?
Yes, with optional accessories. The Grid ON Inverter Module enables grid-tied operation; the Electric Energy Meter Module is required when this module is selected.
Q4. What parameters of the solar module can be tested with this trainer?
The solar power experimental platform supports testing of Short Circuit Current, Open Circuit Voltage, Maximum Output Voltage, and Maximum Output Current, as well as efficiency calculation and inclination-angle vs. output characterization.
Q5. What effects on solar module behaviour does the system demonstrate?
The Indoor Solar Energy Training System RVX-001 demonstrates solar module behaviour under three controlled conditions: varying illuminance, varying temperature (via integrated temperature sensor), and shading.
