Construction and Design
The On-Grid Solar Energy with Storage RVX-005 is built on a modular frame accommodating fifteen discrete plug-in modules. The grid-tied solar power training system features a Dual Solar Panel Module with adjustable inclination and azimuth. A Solar Irradiance Measurement Module captures solar radiation data directly. The Grid ON Inverter Module enables grid-tied operation and inverter efficiency measurement. The Electric Energy Measurement Module records energy exchanged with the mains grid. A Three Phase Analyser Module provides three-phase power analysis. An MPPT Charge Controller handles battery charging with maximum power point tracking. A PV Simulator Module extends system capability for simulation-based experiments. A Load Management Module and Active DC Load support load-side experiments. A Single Phase Transformer is included for AC load supply. An Artificial Light Source Module and Artificial Light Control Module support indoor training. The battery (12V standard, 24V on demand) is not included and must be sourced by the end user. All modules connect via the included set of leads.

DAQ software specially designed in the National Instruments LabVIEW environment to measure and calculate experimental results. A set of electronic sensors is included for use with the software. Compatible with any Windows operating system. Software is optional.
