Construction and Design
The Plate & Frame Filter Press NutriForge - 03 is built for discontinuous cake filtration. A steel tank produces the suspension, holding more than 70L. A centrifugal pump, rated at approximately 5m³/h maximum flow rate and 45m maximum head, delivers the suspension to the press. The press has 10 opening separating chambers, each formed by one filter frame and two filter plates, for filter cake removal. Filter cloths sit on top of grooved filter plates, with filtrate flowing through the cloth and grooves into a collecting pipe. Filtrate is collected in a PMMA tank with a level scale, holding 20L. A valve adjusts the suspension flow rate, and a pressure gauge at the inlet displays filtration pressure, ranged 0 to 7bar. The filter area is approximately 0.5m², with a working pressure of approximately 0.4 to 4bar across 10 stages. Plates and frames are pressed together using a spindle for each filtration cycle.
Software
Software NutriForge - 03 (optional). DAQ software specially designed in National Instrument™, LABVIEW™ environment to measure and calculate the results of the apparatus. The software is optional; a set of electronic sensors is included when the software is used. The software can be run in any Windows™ environment.
