Construction and Design

The Refrigeration System (Refrigeration & Freezing Chamber) PolarX - 524 is built around a refrigeration circuit with a compressor, condenser, and 2 evaporators, fitted with a thermostatic expansion valve and an evaporation pressure controller. The freezing chamber is insulated and includes a fan and an electric defrost heater. The refrigeration chamber is insulated and includes an evaporation pressure controller. A heat exchanger is fitted for refrigerant supercooling at the inlet of the two evaporators. Valves allow individual or parallel operation of the two chambers. The circuit uses R134a, a CFC-free refrigerant. A pressure switch is fitted on the delivery and intake side of the compressor. The trainer includes a process schematic with signal lamps to indicate the operating state of selected components, along with manometers for direct pressure readings.

Software PolarX - 524 (optional)

DAQ software designed in National Instruments™ LabVIEW™ environment to measure and calculate the results of the apparatus. The software is optional. When the software is used, a set of electronic sensors is included. The software can be run on any Windows™ environment.
