Torsional Vibration System | Vibrano X - 10

Category: Vibration Technology Lab Equipment  ·  Country of Origin: India

Product Overview

The Torsional Vibration System - Vibrano X - 10 explains torsion of rods and torsional vibration through experiments with up to three mass configurations. It features stainless steel torsion bars, 3 mass discs, and 4 ball bearing mounted bearing units with chucks. This Torsional Vibration System uses a motorized exciter with excitation amplitudes of 1.4°, 1.6°, and 2.4°, along with an adjustable oil damper and 4 angle of rotation sensors. Shaft encoders and a servo control unit provide digital frequency display and signal output for analysis.

Construction and Design

The Torsional Vibration System - Vibrano X - 10 is built on a frame made of anodized aluminum profiled structure, sized 1400mm x 400mm with a groove width of 10mm. The main unit consists of metal torsion bars made of corrosion-resistant stainless steel. With the aid of chucks, mass discs of varying inertia can be attached to the bars, allowing assembly of torsional vibrator systems with up to three masses.

Four ball bearing mounted bearing units with chucks can be positioned anywhere along the length of the shaft. Vibrations are induced on the system using a servo motorized exciter with a drive crank, offering excitation amplitudes of 1.4°, 1.6°, and 2.4°, controlled through the control unit. An adjustable oil damper is used to influence the vibrations.

Shaft encoders on the chucks provide the amplitude of vibration as an electrical signal. The control unit conditions these signals and makes them available for display on data acquisition software or on an oscilloscope, which is optional. This Torsional Vibration System uses four angle of rotation sensors of contact type, with a measuring range of 0 ~ 360°.

Software

Software Vibrano X - 10 (optional)

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What does the Torsional Vibration System - Vibrano X - 10 investigate?
A: It investigates torsional stiffness, mass moment of inertia, decay behavior, damping, and resonance in torsional vibration systems.

Q: How many masses can be assembled in the vibrator system?
A: Up to three masses can be assembled, supporting both two mass and three mass torsional vibrator configurations.

Q: What are the torsion bar sizes available?
A: Torsion bars are available in 3mm x 1000mm, 5mm x 1000mm, and 6mm x 1000mm, made of corrosion-resistant steel, with 3 pcs supplied.

Q: How is vibration amplitude measured?
A: Shaft encoders on the chucks provide vibration amplitude as an electrical signal, which the control unit conditions for display on data acquisition software or an oscilloscope (optional).

Q: What is the exciter frequency range?
A: The motorized exciter operates at a frequency range of 1...20Hz, with excitation amplitudes of 1.4°, 1.6°, and 2.4°.
