AICTE Norms for Electronics Labs

As per AICTE Approval Process Handbook 2024-25:

  • Minimum laboratory area: 66 m² per laboratory
  • Number of experiment setups: minimum 1 per 2 students (or 1 per student where possible)
  • Equipment to be certified/calibrated: all measuring instruments must carry current calibration
  • Safety: Earth leakage circuit breakers (ELCB), rubber mats at all workstations, first aid kit, fire extinguisher (CO₂ type for electrical labs)
  • Personal protective equipment: safety glasses, insulated gloves at designated workstations
