Ion Exchange Pilot Plant – HydraNexis HNX 08

The Ion Exchange Pilot Plant ( ) is a compact laboratory-scale system designed to demonstrate water softening and desalination using ion exchange technology. Made by Scientico India, ISO 9001:2015 certified, and supplied with a calibration certificate and operation manual.

The Ion Exchange Pilot Plant (HydraNexis HNX 08) is a compact laboratory-scale system designed to demonstrate water softening and desalination using ion exchange technology. Developed by SCIENTICO under the HydraNexis series, this unit is ideally suited for teaching laboratories, research institutions, and professional training programs in water and environmental engineering.

Product Overview

The HydraNexis HNX 08 enables practical understanding of ion exchange processes using cation and anion exchangers, which can be operated individually or in combination. Raw tap water is pumped from a storage tank to the top of the cation exchanger, where hardness-causing ions are removed during the softening process. The softened water is collected in a tank and can then be further processed through the anion exchanger to achieve desalination.

For regeneration studies, the same pump is used to inject acid or caustic solutions into the ion exchangers. Spent regeneration chemicals are safely collected in a dedicated collecting tank. The system allows continuous monitoring of flow rate and conductivity, enabling real-time assessment of exchanger performance and breakthrough behavior.

All critical points are accessible for sample collection, making the unit highly suitable for experimental verification of ion exchange theory, capacity calculations, and regeneration efficiency.

Buying Ion Exchange Pilot Plant: Distributor & Tender Guidance

Ion Exchange Pilot Plant is the product name procurement teams should use when searching, preparing a BOQ or comparing suppliers. A model reference identifies the proposed configuration; it should not replace the product name or the buyer’s required experiment. This equipment is considered for environmental and process-engineering practicals involving water quality, treatment stages, filtration or effluent-treatment demonstrations.

What to include in the RFQ

State the product name, quantity, destination, curriculum or tender reference, and treatment process, feed and collection tanks, pumps, media or dosing arrangement, instrumentation, materials, utilities and experiments. This lets the technical team respond against the intended use rather than guess from a model code.

How distributors should quote it

Keep Ion Exchange Pilot Plant as the BOQ line item. Add the proposed model, included accessories, documentation, packing and delivery basis as separate fields so the end buyer can verify the offer.

How to compare suppliers

Compare the treatment stages, sampling points and reusable or consumable items included in the offered scope. Record exclusions and alternatives in writing before commercial comparison.
