Who this page is for

Three types of buyer contact us about vocational training equipment. The first is a regional distributor who already sells into technical colleges and training authorities and wants a manufacturer partner for the engineering trades. The second is a project contractor delivering a turnkey workshop, including civil works, benches, power and equipment, who needs one supplier to carry the equipment schedule. The third is an integrator bidding a multi centre programme where the same equipment list repeats across several sites in one country.

All three have the same underlying problem. The equipment schedule in a TVET tender is long, mixed, and written by someone describing a teaching outcome rather than a catalogue number. Somebody has to translate that into a buildable list. That is the part we are good at.

What a TVET workshop actually needs

Vocational programmes teach a trade to a class, usually in groups of four to six students per unit, often to learners who are handling the equipment for the first time. That changes the specification in a very practical direction. The units need to be visible, mechanically obvious, robust under daily student handling, and repairable by a workshop technician with ordinary tools. Research grade instrumentation with delicate transducers and proprietary software is the wrong answer here even when the budget allows it.

Fluid mechanics and hydraulics

This is usually the largest single block in a mechanical or civil trade workshop. Strength of materials and materials testing

Vocational syllabuses want students to see a specimen fail. Tension, compression, torsion, impact, hardness and simple beam work are the core. RAC is one of the strongest employment trades in TVET across Africa and South and South East Asia, and it is frequently under equipped. The funding point is the one that shapes everything else. Vocational skills programmes in these regions are commonly financed through development funding or a national skills budget rather than by the institution itself. That means an open tender, published technical specifications, a formal bid opening, and an evaluation that can be challenged. Your bid is read by an evaluation committee against a checklist, not by a professor who already trusts you.

What a partner bidding TVET work needs from the manufacturer

This is where most suppliers let their partners down, so we will be specific about what we put on the table.

Manufacturer authorisation. Almost every formal tender in this segment requires proof that you are authorised by the manufacturer for that specific tender, on manufacturer letterhead, naming the tender reference and the bidder. Complete document sets. Tender submissions fail on missing paperwork more often than on technical grounds. Multi site rollouts

A national skills programme rarely equips one centre. It equips eight, or twenty, in phases. Two things go wrong at that scale. The first is drift, where units delivered in phase three differ from phase one and the instructor manuals no longer match the hardware. The second is a supplier who quoted the whole programme but only had stock for the first phase.

Because we manufacture rather than trade, a model built in phase three is the same model as phase one unless a change is agreed in writing. We also keep phased release schedules against a single agreed specification, so your documentation package stays valid across the programme. Where a rollout runs across more than one region, tell us at quotation stage, not after award.

Instructor training and spares

Equipment that nobody can operate becomes storeroom furniture within a year, and evaluation committees know it. Instructor familiarisation is therefore a scored item in many of these tenders. We supply experiment manuals with the units and support instructor familiarisation as part of an agreed scope, with the delivery method set per project.

On spares, our design bias is towards standard fasteners, standard bearings and commonly available valves and gauges wherever the teaching function permits, because a centre in a provincial town cannot wait on a proprietary part. Wear items and consumables should be quoted as a separate schedule alongside the main equipment list. Buyers appreciate seeing it, and it protects you when the centre asks for parts in year two.

Shipping, terms and how we appoint partners

We export CIF or FOB from Nhava Sheva or Mundra. If your buyer needs documentation configured for a particular clearance route, tell us before we issue the proforma.
