- Compliance Standards — relevant IS / ISO / ASTM / BIS standard the equipment must meet
- Certifications Required — CE marking, ISO 9001 supplier certification, BIS certification, NABL calibration certificate

- Naming specific brands or models — invites vendor complaints and can void the tender
- Vague specifications (“heavy duty”, “good quality”) — leads to non-comparable bids
