Flow Control Training System | NexuMation 64
The Flow Control Training System NexuMation 64 is an experimental unit for learning control engineering fundamentals. This flow control training system has a 35L storage tank, a speed-controlled pump rated 17W, 5L/min and 5m max head, a rotameter of 0~7L/min, and a turbine wheel flow sensor rated 7.5L/min. A motorized valve of 3W acts as the actuator. LabVIEW software configures P, PI, PID and switching control via USB under Windows 10.
of control engineering. This flow control training system is mounted in a housing which accommodates all the electronics. A piping system with two flowmeters is supplied with flow by a speed-controlled pump.
Product Overview
The flow control training system has a piping system with two flowmeters. A speed-controlled pump supplies flow from the transparent storage tank. The rotameter allows the flow rate to be observed directly at any time. A turbine wheel flow sensor also measures the flow rate.
The sensor output signal is sent to the software controller. The output signal from the controller influences the setting of a motorized valve. To investigate the influence of disturbance variables, the pump speed can be altered by way of the software.
The software is designed in LabVIEW. It is an integral part of the training system and embodies the principle of hardware/software integration (HSI). It enables experiments to be conducted and evaluated in a user-friendly manner. The link between the experimental unit and the PC is made via a USB port.
