Product Overview

The PolarX – 600 is designed for both indoor and outdoor operation. The flat plate collector (PolarX – 600-01) is constructed with an anodized aluminium structure, copper pipes wrapped in insulating material, a tempered glass cover, and an approximate panel area of 2 m². The collector is mounted on a metallic structure with lockable castor wheels on two corners and a protractor with integral level in 1° increments for inclination adjustment. A compass and adjustable level indicator are provided for on-site alignment.

The pumping station integrates a solar circulation pump with PWM control delivering up to 7 lpm, a flow sensor measuring 1 to 15 lpm in the primary circuit, an expansion tank, a de-airing valve, filler and drain cocks with hose connections, and shut-off and check valves. Maximum working pressure is 10 bar. The medium temperature range is -30 to 120°C. More than 8 different system configurations are available.

Instrumentation includes temperature sensors with a range of -100 to 800°C, a digital display for temperature sensors, a manometer with a range of 0 to 4 bar, and safety valves for over-pressure protection. Thermocouples are positioned at various main points throughout the system. Operating temperature is adjustable using a cooling water flow. Incident solar energy is measured using a solar irradiance sensor with digital display (optional).

An optional evacuated tube collector (PolarX – 600-02) is available as an alternative collector type. It has an anodized aluminium structure, a surface area of 2 m², 15 to 16 tubes, and a rated throughput of 58 LPH.

An optional storage tank (IRE-282-03) is available: a vacuum vitrified boiler with a single high-efficiency heating coil, anti-corrosion protection, thermostat with adjustable temperature control, 1,000 W auxiliary electrical heater, maximum pressure of 4 bar, maximum temperature of 120°C, and a tank volume of 50 L or 100 L (specify at order).

Optional DAQ software (PolarX – 600), developed in the National Instruments LABVIEW environment, supports data acquisition via LAN/USB and is compatible with Windows 10 and newer. A set of electronic sensors is included when the software option is selected.

Construction and Design

The Domestic Water Heating with Flat Collector PolarX – 600 is built around a flat plate collector (PolarX – 600-01) mounted on a wheeled metallic frame. The collector uses an anodized aluminium structure with copper pipes wrapped in insulating material and a tempered glass cover. The panel area is approximately 2 m². Lockable castor wheels are fitted on two corners of the frame for mobility. A protractor with integral level in 1° increments allows precise inclination adjustment. A compass and adjustable level indicator support on-site alignment.

The instrumentation and water circulating console connects to the collector via flexible hoses. The pumping station includes a solar circulation pump with PWM control (up to 7 lpm), a flow sensor (1 to 15 lpm in the primary circuit), an expansion tank, a de-airing valve, filler and drain cocks with hose connections, and shut-off and check valves. Maximum working pressure is 10 bar and the medium temperature range is -30 to 120°C. More than 8 different system configurations are supported.

Temperature sensors covering -100 to 800°C are positioned at various main points throughout this domestic water heating with flat collector system, with a digital display for readout.
