The Aerobic Water Treatment Pilot Plant (HydraNexis HNX 06) is a laboratory and pilot-scale system designed to demonstrate the activated sludge process used in aerobic wastewater treatment. Manufactured by SCIENTICO under the HydraNexis series, this unit is intended for environmental engineering education, research laboratories, and training facilities. It enables controlled study of biological oxidation, sludge recirculation, and secondary clarification processes.

Product Overview
The HydraNexis HNX 06 pilot plant is based on the conventional single-stage activated sludge process, consisting of an oxidation (aeration) reactor followed by a secondary settler. Raw water containing dissolved organic matter is pumped into the oxidation reactor, where aerobic microorganisms biodegrade organic pollutants using dissolved oxygen supplied through air diffusion.

The oxidation reactor is equipped with mechanical agitation to ensure uniform mixing of wastewater and activated sludge. Oxygen required for microbial activity is supplied by an air compressor and diffuser system. After biological treatment, the mixed liquor flows into the settler, where the activated sludge is separated from the treated water by gravity. A portion of the settled sludge is recirculated back to the oxidation reactor to maintain biomass concentration, while the clarified effluent is collected in a storage tank. Key process parameters such as pH, dissolved oxygen, temperature, flow rate, and sludge recirculation can be monitored and adjusted for detailed process evaluation.
